Reflection to “At the Bridge Table, Clues to a Lucid Old Age”
It is an article about how to keep the aged brains from aging and it the article it provides us one way of the methods. It is the bridge card game. There are so many researches on it. The researches keep working on this subject. They find that by the constant playing on this game for the elder, it can prolong the sharpness of their mind and thought.
A research begun by University of Southern California called the 90+ Study. And the result of the study shows that concentrating on the card games can decrease the risk of dementia that always known as Alzheimer’s disease.
There is little evidence that diet or exercise affects the risk of dementia in people over 90 but there is too few of the evidences to support this idea. The general idea that is accepted by the public is that only by the more and more active using of the brain and then the terrible disease will be postponed or even never appear until they die.
Another possible way to deal with the aging problem of the brain is to interact with people regularly, even strangers, uses easily as much brain power as doing puzzles. It seems to be another efficient manner to deal with the gradual deteriorating memory of the elder and it is really helpful because we can see its effect on the village that is created foe those people who have a deep fear to lose their memory.
